Schatz Sits Securely in Top 10
Minneapolis, MN- The young outlaw from Minot, ND is currently holding
on to a very secure top-ten spot in this years World of Outlaws point standings. At the
time of this article he was in the seventh position with a 424-point lead over eighth
place driver Jeff Swindell.
Schatz has had his ParkerStore sponsored machine as high as the fourth overall position, earlier in the year. The team has struggled with their consistency the past several weeks and has fallen a few positions in the overall point's race. The top ten drivers in the World of Outlaws series all receive a complimentary new Freightliner truck to use for the following year, so a top ten finish is a major financial goal for each one of the teams.
"We put together a new car for Chico last weekend, and it was really fast," said Donny. "We went right out and set second fast time. Hopefully, a lot of the bad luck and problems are behind us. Everyone on the crew is really pumped up since we put the new car together. We're going to keep picking up points the next few weeks and hopefully get back in to the top four."
