The event was held at the Wintergreen Resort and Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

Jimmy captured the Nascar touring series 'Rookie of the Year' title in his first year racing on asphalt. The team finished the season with nine top-ten finishes and four top-five finishes. They secured the rookie title at the final event of the season in LaCrosse, WI. Although they struggled the first few weeks, the team quickly gained the respect of fellow competitors and teams. The ParkerStore team finished seventh in the overall points race.

"They had a great turn-out for the banquet, and it was good to see a lot of the teams and drivers again," said Jimmy Mars. "The ReMax Series is probably one of the toughest Nascar touring divisions. They're all very competitive and clean drivers. This season was a great learning experience for the team and myself. I think we proved that dirt drivers can make the transition to asphalt."

Chris and Jimmy had the opportunity to work with car builder Mark Richards and the rest of his design team. The brothers had their new hauler in the parking lot at Wisconsin Dells, and headed for West Virginia right after the awards banquet.

"We're sorry to see Jimmy leaving the Nascar ReMax series next year," said Nascar Media Coordinator, Dean Strom. "He and his brother are classy people that represent the sponsors in a fine manner. His racing future certainly looks bright and he made a fine addition to our series."

The Mars ParkerStore team will be kicking off the 2000 racing season on February 4 at Brunswick, GA. Check back to this site for latest racing news and results.
