Luck bound to change in Vegas

The ParkerStore team opened the 2000 racing season last weekend in California, and left the Golden State very disappointed. Donny was involved in an accident at the season opening event at King's Speedway in Hanford, CA. This included a trip to the local hospital. Donny was suffering from a burning sensation in his neck and shoulder area as a result of the incident. After a series of x-rays, he was treated for muscle spasms before being released.

On the following night, the team suffered a setback on lap 28 of the main event when a clamp on the radiator hose loosened, dumping coolant on the motor and the track. "We thought we had everything tightened up," said Danny Schatz. "It's not a very good way to start off the season, but I guess we've got a long way to go yet."

Schatz will be racing three consecutive nights this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, including the first live telecast for the 2000 season on TNN. This show is scheduled to air this Friday night at 10 p.m. (eastern). Check your local listings for the time and channel in your area.
