(Bristol, Tennessee, April 28, 2000) The officials and crew at Bristol Motor Speedway are busy laying down the clay on what is without a doubt going to be the world's fastest dirt track. This week the crew put down a test section of clay in order to get a better idea for the depth of surface that will be required, and what kind of base will allow the clay to be removed easily without damaging the asphalt racing surface. Jimmy Mars and the Hav-A-Tampa Dirt Racing Series are scheduled to invade the Winston Cup facility for the inaugural event on June 2-3. Donny Schatz and the World of Outlaws will put on their spectacular show the following weekend, June 9-10. If you are a dirt racing fan, these are two shows you do not want to miss. Events of this magnitude are taking dirt racing to the next level. Make sure that you get out and support the teams and sponsors that make these historic events a reality.
