Batesville, AR (August 19, 2000) Jimmy Mars and the ParkerStore team rolled into Batesville, AR late last week. Jimmy quickly pulled his top off, and then flexed his muscles for the crowd for the next two days. He performed so well, that he actually walked away with a check for forty two thousand dollars, and a trophy that stands taller than he does. Actually, the team pulled the roof off of the white and blue ParkerStore Wissota tribute car for the eighth annual Topless 100. The team has been dialing in there new MastesBilt chassis and have continued to get faster every week. Mars qualified 10th out of 81 cars and picked up a win in the fourth qualifying event on Friday night. Mars passed polesitter Billy Moyer on lap twenty six of the 100 lap main event, and went on to pick up the $42,000 paycheck in victory lane. This is Mars fourth feature win of the 2000 season, and the first in his new MastersBilt chassis. "Jimmy is a class act and always has time for the fans" said race fan and photographer Tom Strickler. "I was so impressed with how Jimmy treated the fans after the race. He is truly one of the best late model drivers there is." Check back for a more detailed article and results in the near future.
