Mars continues his strong showing on the national dirt late model circuits and remains in 9th place in the championship standings of the Hav-A-Tampa national touring series.

Jimmy opened the weekend with an eleventh place showing at the Saturday weekend opener, then improved on that with his top-five run in the Sunday night 60 lapper after starting the main event in the tenth spot. Mars successful season has come in MasterSbilt Chassis prepared racecars with Pro-Power Engines and the continued support of the ParkerStores.

This coming weekend (September 8-9) Jimmy Mars Racing will be seeking a win in the annual ‘World 100’ at the famed Eldora Speedway. The event, billed as the most prestigious in the dirt late model community, is expected to attract over 200 entries all trying to battle their way to a starting spot in the 24 car field.

Eldora Speedway, in Rossburg, OH, is also the site of Jimmy's biggest career win where he took the $100,000 winner’s prize in the 1997 'Dream' race. Although this coming weekend’s action at Eldora’s half-mile dirt oval offers a lot of notoriety and a large payout to the winner, the track will also host the long-anticipated "MILLION DOLLAR RACE" on October 6-7 when the dirt late model competitors return to the Earl Baltes owned track.

Mars and the ParkerStore team will also be making an appearance at Parker's Tube Fitting Division plant in Eaton, OH on Wednesday afternoon. Several hundred people are expected to be on hand.
