ELK MOUND, WI (September 17, 2000) Jimmy Mars brought his ParkerStore sponsored Chevrolet Monte Carlo home to a 4th place finish in Saturday night’s 15th annual running of the WISSOTA 100 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI. Mars, who won the event in 1996, registered his 16th top-five run of the 2000 season with the strong run at the 3/8-mile dirt oval located just east of Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN.

Mars will unload his MasterSbilt Chassis prepared racecars back into Hav-A-Tampa action when the tour returns to ‘The Dirt Track’ at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC on September 22-23 then on to Beckley (WV) Motor Speedway on September 29-30.

The ParkerStore sponsored team will also be making an appearance at the L & H Technologies ParkerStore in Charlotte on September 21. For more information on attending this event, contact Todd Guest at (704) 525-8802.

Mars continues his strong showing on the national dirt late model scene and remains in 9th place in the championship standings of the Hav-A-Tampa national touring series. Following this weekend’s Hav-A-Tampa action in Charlotte, the ParkerStore Total Hose and Fitting supported team will continue on the cigar-sponsored tour at Beckley (WV) Motor Speedway (Sep 29-30). The October 6-7 weekend will find Mars and company vying for the ONE MILLION DOLLAR winner’s payout at "The Eldora Million" at Rossburg, OH’s Eldora Speedway.

From there the team will head to Atlanta, GA’s Dixie Speedway (Oct 13-14) for the Hav-A-Tampa season ending Hav-A-Tampa Shootout. With 2 Hav-A-Tampa series pole awards under his belt for the 2000 campaign, Jimmy is also eligible to compete in the Friday night (Oct 13) preliminary event at Dixie Speedway which will include all of the Hav-A-Tampa series pole winners in a special 15-lap $5,000 to win dash. Mars won the special format race in 1998 and will be one of the leading contenders in the Saturday night (Oct 14) finale that offers the winner over $52,000.00.

· The Dirt Track World Championship (Oct 21-22) West Virginia Motor Speedway (Parkersburg, WV)

· STARS $30,000 to win sanctioned visit to Florence Speedway (Oct 27-28, Union, KY)

· The $25,000 to win ‘National 100’ at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Nov 3-4,Phenix City, AL)

· STARS Triple-Header season finale at East Bay Raceway (Nov 9, 10, 11, Tampa, FL)
