mars-bristol002.jpg (21319 bytes)Minneapolis, MN- Kind of has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it. This is the big weekend that dirt late model race fans across the country have been waiting for, the Eldora Million. One million dollars will be presented to a driver this weekend, and it may change the face of dirt late model racing as we know it.

Jimmy Mars and the ParkerStore team have been waiting in line for days for the opportunity to unload their MasterSbilt weapon. Mars and company have had their new cars dialed in the past few weeks, and are very confident going into this weekends action. Mars pulled down a big win at the Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend, his second UDTRA win of 2001.

"We’re going after fast time", said Jimmy. "We want to be locked in for this thing. They invert the fastest 36 cars, so the 31-36 spots wouldn’t be bad either, but we’ll take the guaranteed starting spot."

There are 275 teams from 30 states registered, and only 26 cars will make the field for this weekend’s prestigious Million to Win event.

There has been a new website established to cover all of the action from the Eldora Speedway. The new website is www.themillion.net, and it will be brought to you by racefan.com.

They will have up-to-date qualifying information as well as all of the heat and last chance events. Check back often for the latest racing news.
