ParkerStore team coming together for Month of Money

HAGERSTOWN, MD - When Donny Schatz last left Hagerstown Speedway in May, he felt like he had been snake-bitten. He flipped hard down the backstretch after Craig Dollansky blew a tire in front of him. After winning two features and finishing second at Williams Grove Speedway, Schatz wasn't about to let anything stop the ParkerStores/Featherlite Coaches team. He finished second to Stevie Smith in the 30-lap "A" Feature on Saturday night.

"We had a chance there when I got by Mark, but the yellow came out," said Schatz. "I let Stevie get by me and then he got Mark. We've been on a good roll here and we just need to keep this going."

Schatz qualified the #15 J&J fifth in the field and won the second heat race. He finished second in the Channellock Dash and dogged early race leader Mark Kinser for most of the first 10 laps. He made his move for the lead just when Brad Furr and Paul McMahan got together, which brought out a caution.

After the yellow, Stevie Smith was able to pass both Schatz and Kinser and went to take the win. Schatz passed Kinser with an outside move with two laps to go, but couldn't reel in Smith.

Schatz pulled to within 62 points of Craig Dollansky in the WoO standings and has a 55-point advantage on sixth place Andy Hillenburg.
