FARGO, ND (June 24) - For the second consecutive season, Subway Restaurants of North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota will join forces with Donny Schatz Motorsports for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Duel in the Dakotas from July 4 through July 6 at Red River Valley Speedway.

"We're pleased to have Subway join us again this year," said Schatz, who calls Fargo home. "Last year, we started a relationship and this year we've expanded it a little more. We were really happy to have them involved with our race team and the World of Outlaws. It's special for me to come home and have Subway Restaurants from the area step up and join our team. We've got some great things planned for this year and I know all the fans are going to love the special Outlaw Meal."

Subway Restaurants of North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota began offering a special Outlaw Fresh Value Meal at 36 locations on Friday, and the promotion will conclude July 7. All of the Subway employees will be wearing special racing shirts during the promotion and fans can enter to win tickets to the World of Outlaws Duel in the Dakotas and Schatz T-shirts from Subway.

"Everyone at Subway is pleased to be working with Donny Schatz Motorsports again this year," said Brian Conneran chairman of the Subway marketing board and Grand Forks franchisee. "Last year was our first time working together and this year we have put together an even stronger package. All the employees at Subway are excited to be involved with Donny and the World of Outlaws. Their visit to Fargo each year is great for our community and we want to continue this exciting relationship."

Subway will join ParkerStore on the top wing of the #15 Schatz Motorsports J&J sprint car during the three night event in West Fargo. Schatz will also wear a specially designed Bell Helmet painted by Bullseye Visual all three nights that will feature the Subway logo.

The Schatz #15 sprint car will be at the Subway Restaurant location in West Fargo on Wednesday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday, July 5, the car will be at located at the new Subway Restaurant (located near 45th Street and I-94 in Fargo) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Donny will be on hand to talk with fans from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Subway will also host a special pre-race party in front of the Wingate Inn (4429 19th Ave SW - Fargo) prior to Friday's race from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an appearance by Schatz from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday's races will be taped by Speed Channel to air later in July. These two races will be the first two of 16 WoO races that will be televised in 2002.
