Monster
truck will be Hazelwood, MO - BIGFOOT 14 and driver Dan Runte will be seen by what will likely be the largest TV audience in monster truck history in the season premiere of the hit NBC-TV series, "Fear Factor," on Monday, September 23. Millions of viewers will tune in for the star-studded, 90-minute special edition, which NBC will broadcast at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, 7 p.m. Central. There were 17.5 million viewers that watched the last celebrity Fear Factor that was broadcast. You'll have to watch to see what happens, but we can tell you it includes celebrities Penn & Teller, Matt Cedeno, Barry Williams, Gena Lee Nolin, Keshia Knight Pulliam and Natasha Henstridge, all competing for charity. Also involved are BIGFOOT driver Dan, more than 100 cars, and yes, a monster truckload of high-powered Fear. We can also tell you the Fear Factor producers and crew loved working with BIGFOOT, Dan, Jim Kramer and Joe Cangelosi, and even invited BIGFOOT back for a future Fear Factor appearance. If the show reaches numbers like the previous celebrity Fear Factor episode, it will be the biggest-ever TV audience in monster truck history, according to BIGFOOT's marketing VP, Scott Johnston. He noted that BIGFOOT, Snake Bite and others have made literally thousands of cable TV appearances. Plus, BIGFOOT has received major broadcast network exposure such as Jay Leno actually driving and crushing cars twice on NBC's "Tonight Show." But being seen by the tens of millions that tune in to a prime time broadcast network show, and a celebrity-laden, season premiere to boot, is a rare opportunity. "By the end of this year, BIGFOOT will have been on various cable TV shows more than 30 times," Johnston said. "As far as I know, Fear Factor will mark just the third time ever that a prime time, broadcast network show has featured major monster truck involvement. That goes back almost 20 years, to Bob Chandler and BIGFOOT 2 doing 'That's Incredible' on ABC-TV in 1983!" The season premiere of Fear Factor will be broadcast on NBC-TV on Monday, September 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, 7 Central. |
