CHILLICOTHE, OH - Donny Schatz and his ParkerStore team pulled into K-C  Raceway on Tuesday night with a sense of uncertainty. Weather in the area looked less than optimistic and it was the first time Schatz had visited the high-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval in Ohio.

Schatz and the team waited through rain and outlasted a fog delay before putting on an exciting show as the Fargo, ND driver raced his #15 ParkerStore J&J to a fourth place finish in the Freedom 40 feature event.

"It was another one of the those nights where we put ourselves in a position to start up front," said Schatz, following his eighth top five finish of the season and fifth consecutive top ten run. "Jason (Sides) got a good start and we were right there for most of the race. We had a good race with Kerry (Madsen) for second and then battled with Mark (Kinser) later in the race."

"Consistency was a big goal of ours coming into the season, so we have to be happy about our recent finishes. We're still focusing on getting that first win of the season. If we all keep working hard, the night will come when we put it all together. Once we put it together maybe we can run off a string of wins."

Schatz qualified eighth in the field of 44 cars and finished third in the first heat race. He won his second dash event in the last three races to earn the pole position for the 40-lap "A" Feature.

Outside front row starter Jason Sides took the lead at the drop of the green flag, and on lap three, Schatz exchanged second place with Kerry Madsen twice. Schatz remained in third until he raced his #15 ParkerStore J&J back into second place on lap 23 by passing Madsen with a low move in turns three and four.

A four-car battle followed on lap 28 as eventual winner Jason Meyers passed Schatz, Mark Kinser and Madsen. Schatz passed Kinser on lap 34, but Kinser returned the favor the following lap. Schatz held his ground for the final five laps to finish fourth.

Schatz remains in third place in the WoO standings trailing leader Steve Kinser by 79 points and runner-up Danny Lasoski by 52 points.

The ParkerStore team will return to action on Friday night at Terre Haute's Action Track. It will be the first of two one-night races on Friday and Saturday. Following the race in Terre Haute, the team will travel to Tri-City Speedway, which is just east of St. Louis, to compete in another $10,000-to-win program.
