PORT ROYAL, PA - To say Donny Schatz has been on a roll in World of Outlaws Sprint Series action would be an understatement. The Fargo, ND racer drove his #15 ParkerStore J&J to victory on Wednesday night at Port Royal Speedway giving him his fifth win in his last seven starts.

"It feels good to be in victory lane in Pennsylvania again," said Schatz following the win. "We had some problems out here in May and weren't that good in July, so this feels like we're just getting started by winning this race. I feel fortunate to be here. After that caution, I think something broke in the motor. Whether it was a spark plug or coil, I don't know, but I know someone was closing on me at the end."

"The track was pretty good considering all the rain from the hurricanes that came through here. It was a little narrow early, but Lucas (Wolfe) got going good on the top early in the race and (runner-up) Daryn (Pittman) made it work up there pretty good at the end."

Schatz qualified 15th and finished third in the third heat race and came home second in the first Dash event behind Mark Kinser. In the 25-lap feature event, Schatz started third and took second on lap five by passing Pittman. Five laps later, he chased down high school senior Wolfe and grabbed the lead. Once in front, he was on a mission around the fast half-mile dirt oval.

The action was slowed three times in the race. First with a yellow on lap 16, then a red-flag stopped the action on lap 21 for Mark Smith and finally on lap 23 for another red-flag when Sammy Swindell flipped over the guard rail in turn three.

During the final green-white-checkered finish, Schatz raced his ParkerStore J&J with Shaver power to the checkered flag just ahead of a surging Daryn Pittman to pick up his seventh feature win of the season.

"We've had a quite a few wins lately and we're so far behind Steve and Danny that all we want to do is try to win every race," continued Schatz, who picked up the $25,000 Gold Cup in Chico and swept the One Third Mile Short Track Nationals at Eagle Raceway recently. "We've got a big show this weekend and our goal is to the best we can and most importantly have some fun during the final month of the year."

The victory will continue the team's momentum heading into the final big "payday" of the season: the 42nd annual National Open. The two-night National Open at Williams Grove Speedway will conclude with Saturday's 40-lap finale offering $30,000 to the winner.
