Elk Grove, CA- ParkerStore pilot Kyle Larson, of Elk Grove, CA, won his fourth main event in five starts Saturday night at the Red Bluff Winter Indoor Series at the Pauline Davis Pavilion. The day marked the anniversary of Larson's first five years of outlaw sprint kart racing. In that span the four-time champion has raced in 342 main events while garnering an incredible 79 feature victories.

When qualifying was complete early in the day Larson found himself in an unfamiliar position as he settled for not being the fast timer for the first time this season, finishing second to Brian Southers.

Larson started his ParkerStore QRC Factory Kart seventh in the fully inverted heat race but had the lead on lap two when he passed leader Klint Simpson in turn four. He then cruised to the win in the 12 lapper.

In the trophy dash Larson started fifth in the six-kart six-lap event. On the opening lap David Chaves spun in turn two nearly collecting Larson, but he recovered and lined up fifth for the restart. When the race resumed Dillon Silverman spun and Chaves rode over Larson's right rear tire and flipped in turn two bringing out a red. The race again restarted with Larson in third. On lap three he passed Jonny Lentz and set his sights on leader Brad Patchen. The duo was side by side at the white flag, but Patchen made a slight bobble in turn two. Larson pounced on the opportunity and took his first trophy dash win of the season.

The 25 lap main event saw Larson start in the third position. By lap two he had moved into second behind pole starter Silverman. He applied heavy pressure on Silverman, until Silverman got sideways in turn four on lap 12. Larson slapped Silverman with his right rear and straightened him out but the pass was made and he took the lead. After a couple of restarts due to yellow flags Larson went on to a comfortable win that saw him increase his already substantial point lead. The night again saw the 12 year old Larson out-perform the more powerful open 500cc karts in the main event lap time charts as his 125cc Banke powered mount hooked up the best to the drying Red Bluff bullring. Larson toured the track with a quick lap of 9.328 while open class point leader Tyler McCain turned a 9.432.

After the race the ParkerStore hotshoe said' "My parents told me today that this was the day I started five years ago. I told them that I hoped I could sweep the program for the first time this season. When I didn’t set fast time I was kind of disappointed, but it just made me more determined. Now that I've won the main event, fast time in qualifying doesn’t seem so important."
