CALISTOGA, CA - Donny Schatz continues to shine in World of Outlaws action and on Sunday night it was a total team effort by the ParkerStore crew helping Schatz claim the $20,000-to-win Harvest Classic at Calistoga Speedway.

Schatz led the first 14 laps of the 30-lap “A” feature in his #15 ParkerStore J&J before his right rear tire began losing air. Steve Kinser got by him to take the lead prior to a red flag on lap 16 that stopped the action. The red flag turned out to be just what the team needed as it allowed the ParkerStore crew a chance to plug the leaking tire. Following the restart on lap 16, Schatz stalked Kinser and finally overtook the 19-time champion on lap 26 before driving off to victory.

“I'm usually not a big fan of the open red flags, but it really helped us tonight,” said Schatz following his sixth “A” feature win of the season. “I knew the tire was going down and my crew (Ricky Warner, Dion Hindi and Danny Schatz) did a great job under the red to get it fixed. My dad got it plugged and I just needed to cool off for a minute and listen to what they were saying during the red. Once we got going again, I was just trying to do everything I could to win the race. Anytime you can beat the greatest sprint car driver, it's quite an accomplishment.”

The victory ended a consistent weekend of action that included a fast qualifier award on Friday night and a runner-up finish in Saturday's preliminary feature. The victory also made it two consecutive weekends that the Fargo, ND racer has raced around the 19-time WoO champion to claim an “A” Feature win. Last Saturday, it was at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, WA.

Next week, Schatz and the ParkerStore team will aim to defend their title at Silver Dollar Speedway's Gold Cup Race of Champions in Chico, CA.
